Mrs. O. H. Stilson, 78, Resident of Corwith for 53 Years, Buried
Corwith, April 18 - Funeral services for Mrs. O. H. Stilson, 78, resident of Corwith for 53 years, were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. O. E. Schaal officiating. Members of Paradise chapter No. 384, O.E.S. of which Mrs. Stilson was a charter member, attended the services in a body.
Born near Delhi, Dec 2, 1855, she lived with her parents in Delhi until early womanhood when she went to Forest City to keep house for an older brother. It was there she was married to O. H. Stilson Oct. 2, 1881. They made their home in Corwith where Mr. Stilson operated a mercantile business.
Four children were born who, with the husband, survive, Ernest Lyell of Gooding, Idaho, who was the first white boy born in Magor township; Mrs. Robert Burlingame of Hillsboro, Ore., Mrs. Claude Stull and Mrs. Arthur Larson of Corwith. Five grandchildren and one brother, Simon Olmstead of Long Beach, Cal. also survive.
