A pioneer resident of Corwith, Mrs. Celia Stilson, 78, died at her home last week, Monday, following a long illness. Mrs. Stilson was born Celia Munson July 1, 1860, in Malmo, Sweden. She was brought to America at an early age and in 1887 came to Corwith where she lived up to the time of her death. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. L. Oxley and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Oxley.
Funeral services were held last Wednesday in the Corwith Methodist church with the Rev. Karl W. G. Hiller, pastor in charge, assisted by the Rev. Albert Rust of the Baptist church. Mrs. Stilson was a member of the Baptist church when she came to Corwith, but there was then no church of that creed in the town.
