Rites pending for Monte Oxley

Corwith - Funeral services for Monte Oxley, 22, former Corwith man who died Monday at San Diego, Calif., will be held at the First Baptist Church in Corwith. The Rev. Leroy Gardner will officiate.

Time of the service is pending on the arrival of the body. The coroner at San Diego is conducting an investigation of the cause of death.

Mr.Oxley was born Sept. 6, 1938, at Corwith, son of Ralph and Anna (Lee) Oxley. He was graduated from the LuVerne High School in 1956 and had been employed by Ryan Aeronautical Corp. in the Kearney Masa Plant, near San Diego, in security work for three and a half years.

Surviving are his parents, and grandmothers, Frances Oxley and Bertha Lee, both of Corwith. The church service will be preceded by a prayer service at the new Boughton Corwith Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Corwith Cemetery.
