William H. Kraus

Garner - William H. Kraus, 95, died Monday at the Good Samaritan Home in Algona. He had been a patient there three years.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church here. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Bohn Funeral Home in charge.

The son of Henry and Elizabeth Kraus, he was born Jan. 22, 1869 at Elkader. He was married to Elizabeth Schenke in February 1896. They retired from farming in 1914 and moved to Garner.

Surviving are a foster son, Emil J. Blumer, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife; and two foster daughters, Loretta and Mrs. John (Retha Ball) Richter.
