Rites Thursday for Aged Garner Woman
Garner - Funeral services for Minnie Knoke, 79, will be held at the home here at 1:30 p.m. and at the St. Paul's Lutheran church at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 21, with the Rev. G. J. Kupke in charge. Interment will be in the Concord township cemetery with the Bohn funeral home in charge.
Mrs. Knoke died at her home here Monday night following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Knoke was born in Germany August 12, 1870, and came to Postville as a young girl. On Feb. 24, 1888, she was married to Henry Knoke at Postville. Born to this union were 3 children; 2 sons, Otto and Louis of Garner, and one daughter, Ida, Mrs. Earl Tyler of Des Moines, all of whom survive. Mr and Mrs. Knoke came to Garner in 1917 and Mr Knoke died here in 1920.
