Roy Wallace dies suddenly at age 81

Clear Lake - Roy Wallace, 81, a retired farmer, died suddenly early Saturday morning at his home at 315 4th Ave. S. in Clear Lake.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Clear Lake and at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church at Crystal Lake. The Rev. John D. DeLong, pastor of the Clear Lake Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Crystal Lake Cemetery.

Roy Wallace was born Dec. 15, 1880 at Waukon, the son of George and Ella (Ragan) Wallace. He was married to Nora Arneson on March 11, 1908, in the Methodist parsonage in Forest City.

The Wallaces operated a family farm northwest of Crystal Lake until 1950 when they retired and move to the present home in Clear Lake.

Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.
