Services for Herman Lempke [ Lemke ], 67, Are Held at Church in Garner

Garner, May 28 - Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Lutheran church for Herman Lempke, 67, the Rev. H. R Wrede officiating. Burial was in Concord cemetery.

Mr. Lempke was born in Germany, received his education in the state schools. He came here in 1885 and was married to Adeline Greinke in 1893. Six children, Mrs. Harold Heimendiniger, Mrs. Elmer Haes, Mrs. Henry Katter, Mrs. H. Heyer, Paul and Otto and Mrs. Lempke survive him.

He has been in failing health for two years following an operation. He has been very ill since Christmas when he went to a Mason City hospital where he stayed until 18 days ago.
