Garner services set for Karl Kraus

Garner - Funeral services for Karl A. Kraus, 79, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Leroy Franz will officiate. Burial will be in Ell Township Cemetery at Klemme with Bohn Funeral Home of Garner in charge. He died at Concord Manor Saturday.

Born April 13, 1886 at Garner, he was the son of Karl J. and Neona Blumer Kraus. He was married to Anna Schuldt March 30, 1910. They owned and operated a hotel in Allison, he was a Mason City fireman, later farmed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He came to Garner in 1936.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. William (Lucille) Malloy, Naperville, Ill,; a grandson, a sister, Mrs. Tille Bachman, Klemme; two brothers, Albert, Goodell; Emil, Garner.
