Found Dead of Heart Attack
Garner - Philip T. Johnson, 62, was found dead at his home here Friday night. The coroner said he had been dead about three hours, following a heart attack. He was alone in the house. Mrs. Johnson was visiting their daughter in Glendale, Calif.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Bohn Funeral Home, pending the arrival of Mrs. Johnson, who is flying home.
Surviving, beside his wife, Ada, are five children, Donald W., Garner; Mrs. Robert (Wanda) Hartwig, Garner; Mrs. Eugene (Arlene) Gopel [ Goepel ], Britt; Charles, Zearing, a student at Iowa State College and Miss Lavonne Johnson, Glendale, Calif.
Johnson had been employed at the county engineer's office 25 years. He was the chief instrument man and assistant engineer.
