Garner man killed in California

Garner - Larry Johnson, 26, of Garner, was killed Friday night in an auto accident at Alameda, Calif., where he is stationed with the U. S. Navy. Funeral arrangements are being made through the Naval office at Omaha.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Johnson of Garner , he was a career man with the Navy.

Surviving also are his wife, the former Doris Richards of Garner, and a three year old daughter, in California.

Larry L. Johnson

Garner - Funeral services for Larry L. Johnson, 26, will be Friday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church here. The Rev. W. T. Wolfram of Ventura will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Bohn Funeral Home in charge. Military honors will be conducted by the U. S. Navy and veterans' organizations.

A career man in the Navy, Johnson was killed in a car accident Saturday, near Alameda, Calif., where he was stationed.

Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Richards of Garner, a daughter, Colleen, 3; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Johnson, Garner; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Judy) Kramer, Des Moines; Janice Lynne, at home, and a grandmother, Mrs. Louise Larson, Garner.
