Clarence Liscomb Rites to Be Held Thursday Afternoon

Clarence Liscomb, 92, died at a local convalescent home Monday, following an illness. He was born Aug. 10, 1853, in Kansas, and had resided most of his life in Garner.

Surviving are his nephew, William Lau, Garner.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist church at Garner, with the Rev. E. F. Brobery officiating. Burial will be at the Garner cemetery. The Major funeral home is in charge.

Clarence Liscomb, 83, Early Resident

Died At Wass Nursing Home At Mason City After Long Illness

The funeral for Clarence Liscomb, 83, was held Friday morning at the Major funeral home in Mason City, with the Rev. E. F. Borberg officiating. Mrs. Chet Stille played organ selections. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.

Mr. Liscomb died Monday night of last week at the Wass nursing home in Mason City where he had been cared for about 10 months. He had lived here since about 1900, spending his life as a laborer. In his younger days he was an engineer. He was a member of the Methodist church and for a number of years was custodian of the church.

Surviving are a brother in California; two nephews, Curtis Liscomb of Garner and Kenneth Liscomb of Pomona Calif.; two nieces, Mrs Geo. Lee of Clear Lake and Mrs. Ray Harris of Eldorado, Kansas.
