Olaf Liljedahl Buried Tuesday
Funeral services were held for Olaf Liljedahl at the Osman Funeral Chapel Tuesday, March 2, at 2 p.m. The Rev. B. A. Rust, pastor of the Bethel Baptist church, was in charge of the last rites. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery at Britt.
Olaf Liljedahl was born at Ystad, Sweden, Dec. 14, 1880. At the age of 19 he came to America, coming directly to Chicago, Ill., where he became a cabinet maker by trade.
Mr. Liljedahl married Hilma Pearson, Oct. 9, 1923, and Chicago was their home. Mrs. Liljedahl died July 28, 1947. Two years later in November Mr. Liljedahl came to Britt, and in March of 1950 entered the Britt Aged Rest Home where he made his home and was cared for until November, 1953, when he was taken to Mason City. Death came Feb. 26; he had reached the age of 73 years, 2 months and 12 days.
Surviving are a niece, Ruth Ahl; a nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Kert Ahl, and a niece, Violet Sundstrom, Chicago, who came to attend the last rites. Mrs. John (Ida) Pearson, of Britt, was a sister-in-law, and had been Mr. Liljedahl's guardian for a number of years.
