C. Jacobson, Britt Businessman, Dies

Britt - Chris Jacobson, 66, former member of the Britt town council, jobber for the Puroil company at Britt, died at his home Sunday at 4:15 p.m. following a heart ailment.

Mr. Jacobson, a native of Denmark, was a member of the Commercial club, the Odd Fellows, was chairman of the Hancock county board of tax appraisal, a director of the Iowa State Experimental Farm at Kanawha and a past director of the Independent Oil Dealers and Jobbers of Iowa which he helped organize.

Surviving are his widow, sons Harold and Robert of Britt and a daughter, Mrs. C. G. Carlson, Iowa City. A son, Lt. Allen Jacobson, was killed in World War II.

He also leaves 2 brothers, Peter of Rienbeck and Alfred of Britt, and 2 sisters in Denmark.

The Boughton funeral home of Britt was in charge of arrangements which were ending Monday.
