WODEN'S OLDEST CITIZEN PASSES

Woden, Jan. 7: - Mrs. William Mulder died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Richard VanHoorn, at Woden at 4:30 a.m. on January 1, 1946.

She was born on May 19, 1860, in the Hague, Netherlands. On November 12, 1879 she was united in marriage to William Mulder. In August, 1910, she came to America and made her home at Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Mulder had been in failing health for the past few years and was cared for at the home of her daughter in Woden. She died at the age of 85 years, being the oldest resident in Woden.

Surviving Mrs. Mulder are three daughters, Mrs. L. S. Van Heyningen, of St. Petersburg, Florida, who has been here for several months caring for her mother; Mrs. John Tolk, of Wooster, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard VanHoorn, of Woden, and four sons, William Mulder, of Staten Island, New York; Rev. Abraham Mulder, of the Netherlands; Peter Mulder, of Wooster, Ohio, and Dr. John Mulder. D. D., of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant daughter. Fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon, January 4, at the Ostfriesland Christian Reformed church with the Rev. C. DeHaan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
