Erwin Albert Priebe, 83
Services for Erwin Albert Priebe, 83, who died Oct. 18, were held Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Julius Rechtermann officiating.
Music was provided by Mrs. Lynette Nuehring, organist, and a duet by David Boelman and Gordon Beier.
Casket bearers were Kenny Rasmus, Leland Hummel, Luverne Schmidt, Randy Yakel, Lonnie Schmidt and Erwin Schuettpelz.
Erwin Albert Priebe, son of Julius Karl Herman Priebe and Bertha Caroline Stromer Priebe, was born Aug 29, 1900.
He was baptized as a small child by Rev. John Gaterman. He was confirmed in Immanuel Reformed Church on April 2, 1915 by Rev. William Thiel and remained a faithful member of this church in Klemme.
On June 1, 1935 he was united in marriage to Mildred Irene Stille. To this union was born one daughter, Eleanor.
Priebe was engaged in farming in Hancock County for about 13 years. He then operated his own trucking business until his retirement. He also drove a school bus for the Klemme Schools. He and his wife have lived in Klemme since 1950.
Survivors include his wife Mildred, daughter Eleanor Aukes, Klemme; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Edna) Schmidt of Klemme; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Mrs. Fred (Esther) Schmidt, and Mrs. Paul (Erma) Goll.
