Hold Services for Mrs. A. Woiwod

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Woiwod, 92, were held at Bohn funeral home in Garner Saturday at 1:30 pm and at the St. John’s Lutheran church at 2 pm.

The Rev. L. W. Heidemann was in charge of the service and burial was in the St. John’s cemetery.

Mrs. Woiwod died at the home of her son, Alfred, Wednesday evening following a lingering illness. She made her home with Alfred the last 10 years and had been bedfast for two years.

She was born in Germany on Nov. 6, 1860 and she came to America when a young woman. On Nov. 20, 1883, she and Carl Woiwod of Garner married. Mrs. Woiwod lived in this community for the past 70 years.

Survivors include five sons: Carl Jr., Walter, Otto, and Alfred, all of Garner and Will of California, and two daughters, Mrs. Lena Grell of Ventura and Mrs. Anna Bohn of Garner.

Her husband, two sons, and a daughter preceded her in death.
