Thursday, September 21, 2000 - 10:30 a.m.

Merlin John "Bud" Neuberger the son of John and Mary (Yahnke) Neuberger was born October 14, 1920, on a farm east of Klemme. He attended country school in Ell Township and began working on the family farm.

He was united in marriage to Marcele Blumer in 1941, and they farmed for awhile, and moved to Renwick, where Bud ran a milk truck and delivered mail.

He was united in marriage to Betty Ward Schaefer on April 21, 1979, and they have lived in Klemme in the the house his uncle built since their marriage.

Bud was a member of the United Methodist Church in Klemme, loved woodworking, gardening, watching birds and planting trees. He was one that always liked a good story, and could tell them as well.

He died on Monday, September 18, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City, Iowa.

Those thankful for sharing his life are his wife, Betty of Klemme, IA; daughter, Marolee Neuberger of Jackson, MI; sons, Dean Neuberger and his wife, Vickie of Aplington, IA; Brad Neuberger and his wife, Dana of Lee Summit, MO; step-daughter, Celeste Ehrecke and her husband, Jerry of Wilton, IA; 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Neuberger of Garner, IA.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Clarence, Walter, John, and Bill, sisters, Faye, Mae, and twin sister, Margaret.
