Rev. Jerry WolcottFrederick "Bud" Bernhart Molander, the son of Fred G. and Clara L. (Heimendinger) Molander was born January 9, 1919 at Livermore. After attending school at Britt, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served his country for over sixteen years.
During W.W. II he was in both the Pacific and Atlantic battle areas. September 2, 1941, he married Georgia Owen at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York. After leaving the service he drove for Bock Oil Company in Garner, the Ruan Transport Corporation in Clear Lake and Farm Service at Clear Lake. After retiring from driving in 1976, he operated a golf repair service in Garner.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion and was a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia, of Garner; his daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Bonnie) Jacobsen of Garner; 2 grandchildren, Lisa and Jason; two sisters, Mrs. Mike (Minnetta) Loebig of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) McCormick of Burnsville, Minnesota; and two brothers, Royal Molander and his wife, Clare, of Garner and Don Molander and his wife, Jackie of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
