Obituary

Dr. W. F. Missman, 78, died early Sunday morning, February 21th, at his home in Klemme,
following a long illness.

Dr. Missman was born on a farm near Hampton, Iowa, February 14, 1879, the son of Herman and
Minnie Missman. He graduated from medical school and came to Kemme in 1909 to practice
medicine. Klemme was his only practice and for 44 years he served the people of the
community.

During the time of his practice, the doctor answered his calls as promptly as was possible
and was the attending physician at the delivery of nearly 3,000 babies.

In December of 1953, he was honored by the people of the Klemme community for his long service. Both civic groups and individuals entered into the planning of the event, and some 300 people were on hand at the banquet and program.

Dr. Missman was married to Bess Ely of Belmond and to this union one son, Byrnes, was born.
Bess Ely Missman died in 1934.

In 1939, he was married to Florence Springer who survives to mourn his passing together with
his son, Byrnes.
