Obituary
MARIE E. BLANK
Miss Blank, age 64, a life long resident of the Klemme Community passed away early Saturday
morning, July 26, at Concord Manor Nursing Home in Garner, where she had been a patient
since December. She had been in failing health for many years.She was born at Klemme, on January 10,1905, the daughter of Taalkeus and Geeske Ruiter
Blank, As a girl she attended college at Estherville, and was graduated from Beauty school
in Des Moines. For several years she operated a beauty shop in Klemme and for the past
years she had been employed by the First National Bank of Klemme.Miss Blank, was an active part of the Klemme Community. She was a member of the Klemme
United Methodist Church, was youth consulter of the church, belonged to the Royal Neighbors,
Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, White Shrine, Hancock County Chorus, the 99'ers womans
flying club, a leader of the Klemme Camp Fire girls, and Mother Advisor of the Rainbows.Surviving are two sisters and two brothers:

Mrs. Conrad Quandt of Klemme
Fred Blank of West Bend
Ralph Blank of AllertonAlso several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers
