Obituary

EDWIN A. JOSTEN

Mr. Josten who was a life long resident of the Klemme vicinity died very suddenly at his
home on Wednesday afternoon. He suffered a heart attack while shoveling snow at his home.
He was born in Twin Lake Township west of Klemme on October 10, 1892 the son of Valentine
and Amelia (Priebe) Josten, As a youth he received his elementary education near his home
while living with his parents.

He was united in marriage to Ellen Schlei at Klemme on November 22, 1916 and together they
lived on the home farm west of Klemme until 1948 when they retired and moved into their
home in town. He had continued to live in Klemme since then.

Surviving are:
His wife, Ellen,
One daughter,
Marcille (Mrs. Donald Berhow of Webster City)

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Elsie Becker and an infant son.

Mr. Josten was an active member of the Methodist Church in Klemme, had served on the city
council and also served as a township school director before moving to town.
