Madison--Alma Aageson, age 93, died peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2000.
She was born February 11, 1907, in Mount Horeb, the daughter of Torger and Anne Docken. Alma was married on October 20, 1932, to Dr. Carl Aageson in The Little Brown Church in the Vale, in Nashua, Iowa. Alma was a long time member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Maple Bluff Country Club. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, bridge, gardening, travel, golf, and her love of collecting antiques. Alma also volunteered at Bethel Parish Shoppe and delivered Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Kimbrough; three grandchildren, Scott (Cathy) Brink, Lynn (Randy) Smith and Todd Brink; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Schmitt; and many other nieces and nephews. Alma is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carl Aageson; a daughter, Mary Brink; five brothers; and three sisters.
A service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
