Mrs Emma Schoenwetter, age 91, passed away early Saturday morning, January 20, 1968 at the Belmond Community Hospital, where she had been in failing health for the past several months.
Born in Galena, Illinois, March 15, 1876, daughter of Herman and Martha Venekolt Ludeke. As a young girl came to the Klemme Community with her parents and lived here ever since.
She was married on March 1, 1905 to Arthur Schoenwetter of Klemme. Together they farmed west of town until 1946 when they retired and moved to their home in Klemme.
Surving is one daughter, Ethel, Mrs Herman Meyer of rural Garner.
Also surviving is one brother Ralph Ledeke of Clear Lake.
One sister, Mrs Mary Schoenwetter of Klemme.
Also are surviving four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband who died December 20, 1967
Four sisters and three brothers:
Mrs Ida Suckow, Mrs Sarah Weisbrod, Mrs Clara Schlichting, Mrs Lydia Ax, Fred Ludeke, Elmer Ludeke and Henry Ludeke.
Pallbearers were Glen Bridges, Virgile Stille, George Christie, Kenneth Kluckhohn, Raymond Schoenwetter and Homer Schoenwetter.
