Mrs. M. Wise, 39, Succumbs – Funeral Rites to be Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Mack Wise, 39, died at her home, 408 18th SE, at 12:26am, Tuesday, following an illness of about one year. She had been a resident of Mason City for the past three years.

Mrs. Wise was born Gertrude DeVary, April 6, 1907, in Winchester, KY. She moved with her family, as a girl of eight to Grundy Center, IA. When she was thirteen the family moved to Gruver, where she finished her education. She was married to John Mack Wise at Emmetsburg, January, 1926. The established their home on a farm near Britt, later moving to Sexton, and then to Mason City.
