John and Christina Meyer's first 2 children are listed in the Early Birth records of Hamilton County, Iowa in 1884 & 1888.(Joseph & Mamie). Remember that the 1890 census was destroyed in a fire in Washington. They appear to have moved up from Hamilton County to Franklin County, Iowa. See the census transcriptions below found on ancestry.com.
