I have a very perplexing situation. Thanks to the help of one of your members, Norma Bell, I have been informed that no "First Papers" record exist in Hamilton County for my grandfather Peter Miller, "Papers" reportedly filed '19 September 1894," Webster City; according to District Court records located in Stearns County, MN; being quoted and therefore being used by the District Court in the declaration granting Naturalized citizenship dated 03 July 1900. What I don't know, is whether he had a copy of the "First Papers" that were used, perhaps that was the only copy -- don't know. I do know that the man was born in 1870, in Denmark, and according to the 1900 Federal Census he came to USA in 1804; likely to Hamilton County. Any help, ideas would be greatly appreciated.
