Rachel Ferguson was born at Uniontown, Pa., October 10, 1843 [sic], and died at Jewell, Iowa, January 1, 1922. When about 19 years of age she was united in marriage to Mr. B. F. Mr. Berry and two of the sons are dead and the other children are widely scattered. For over eleven years Mrs. Berry has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. McKay, and has been an invalid for some time. At the age of sixteen she united with the Methodist Episcopal church and has endeavored to honor her profession with a consistent Christian life.
