OBITUARY
Last Thursday morning word was received from Stratford that Erick Rhemblom [sic], an old and respected citizen, had passed away. Mr. Rhemblom [sic] had lived on his farm, near Stratford, the past 40 years, and about a year and a half ago had moved to Stratford. He was a man of quiet ways and was loved and respected by all.
Erick Rhemblom [sic], son of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Rhemblom [sic], was born in Dalaine, Sweden, on April 24, 1857 and died Thursday morning, April 20th at 5 a. m. with heart trouble. He came to this country in 1873. He was united in marriage to Bertha Peterson of Des Moines, on June 24th, 1891, and to this union one daughter was born. Mr. Rhemblom [sic] was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church from childhood and always faithful to his Father, and was ready and willing to do his share for the good of everything.
Mrs. Rhemblom [sic] and the daughter, Mrs. R. E. Sandegren, three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Anna Sandahl [sic], Mrs. Carl Eklund [sic] of Stanhope, Andrew, also of Stanhope, Mrs. Bessie Bell and Oliver Rhemblom [sic] of Seattle, Washington, are left to mourn the loss of a loving husband, father and brother. His father, mother and one sister preceded him to the better land.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 23rd, at 2:00 o'clock, at the Lutheran Church in Stratford conducted by Rev. S. P. Holmberg. Remains were laid to rest in the Lawn Hill cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Expressions of sympathy are extended to the sorrowing family.
