Former Resident of Jewell Dies.

H. W. Edwards, for many years a resident of Jewell, died at Lake Park, Iowa, at the home of his son, Ward, last Saturday morning and his remains were interred in the cemetery at Ellsworth Monday afternoon.

Mr. Edwards was a carpenter and with his wife resided for years in Jewell until about five years ago when he went to Lake Park. There he died at the very advanced are of eighty years, death coming after three weeks illness, caused practically alone by the fact of his great age. Ward Edwards and Mrs. Jones, both of Lake Park, son and daughter of the deceased, and Ed. Wilkinson of Ames, a nephew, were here to attend the funeral Monday afternoon. Mr. Edwards was an uncle of Mrs. Staley of Jewell.
