Berdella Arlene Anderson

The surrounding community was saddened Monday evening March 14 when word was passed around that little Berdella Arlene had bee accidentally killed by school bus. It seems sad when one so young is taken from a home, but God in His wisdom had found a better place for her where pain and sorrow are unknown. But her short life will always be remembered by her parents and sisters and brothers. She was a flower that had been planted on earth for just a few short years. She was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Anderson, Berdella Arlene was born May 6, 1926 and was baptized the same year June 10th. Her sponsors were: Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Anderson, Mrs. A. C. Anderson, Mrs. Hannah Tjernagel and Selmer Tjernagel. She died March 14, 1932, being 5 years, 10 months and 8 days old. She leaves to mourn her early departure her parents, two sisters, Grace and Bernice, two brothers, Arnold and Orlin; also two grandmothers, Mrs. Hannah Tjernagel and Mrs. S. O. Anderson, besides many friends and relatives. The sum of $13 was given to Missions in her memory. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon by Rev. G. O. Paulsrud, 1 o'clock at the home and 2 o'clock at the Elim church. At the service a song was sung by the audience, and Oral Thompson sang a solo, "Jesus Loves Me." The choir also sang a song. Pall bearers were Albert Henryson, Harold Carpenter, Leslie Henderson, Harald Henryson. Burial was made in the Mount Olive cemetery.
