Obituary of Mrs. Peterson

Mrs. Anna Peterson was born Dec. 9, 1854, in Canada, and died at her home four miles south of Stanhope Jan. 19, 1931, at the ripe old age of 76 years, 1 month and 10 days. She was thee oldest of 11 children. On Sept. 5, 1874, she was married to Lewis Peterson. They settled on the home place south of Stanhope where she remained until her death, almost 60 years. This union was blessed with three children, John and Edward, both at home, and one son who died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death 11 years ago. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Delia Andrews and Lillian Oppedahl of Stanhope. Funeral services were held at two o'clock at the home Thursday, conducted by Rev. G. H. Dick of Stanhope. Rev. and Mrs. Strong and Webster of Kamrar furnished the singing. Interment was made in South Marion cemetery. The pall bearers were Alfred, Oscar and John Erickson, Ole Brekke, Bert Mathre and John Fosberg of Boone.
