MRS. FRANK BOCKWOLDT WAS BORN IN STORY CO.

Johanna Reischauer was born in Story county, Iowa, near Ames January 8, 1860, and passed away January 13, 1931, at Stanhope, at the age of 71 years and 5 days. She lived all her life in this part of the state.

August 11, 1888, she was united in marriage to Frank F. Bockwoldt of Boone, Iowa. To this union four children were born, namely: Mrs. Rose Wininger, Mrs. Elma Sealine and Arthur Bockwoldt, all of Stanhope, and one son, Arnold, who died in infancy.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, the three children, seven grandchildren, one brother, three sisters and a host of neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Bockwoldt was reared in a Christian home, and joined the Methodist church at Stanhope about thirty years ago.

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at 1:30, with short service in the home and at 2 o'clock in the Methodist church at Stanhope, with Rev. Strong in charge. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives, neighbors and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the departed. Many were present from a distance. The beautiful floral tributes were evidence of the high esteem in which she was held.

Pall bearers were her nephews: Leonard Schlegel, Howard Schlegl, Charles Kammin, Harve Grove, Clare Grove and Roy Grove. Interment was made Lawn Hill cemetery.
