Obituary

All in this community were deeply shocked and grieved to learn of the death Wednesday night of last week of Mrs. Gudman Olson, residing southwest of Jewell.

Narie Olson was born July 6, 1884, in Hamilton county, Iowa, and died at her home on February 25, 1920, at the age of 35 years, 5 months and 19 days. She was given a Lutheran religious training, and was confirmed December 11, 1898 by Rev. Gustav Gjerstad.

On June 27, 1906, she was united in marriage to Gudman Olson. This union was blessed with three children, Melford age 12, Minnie age 11, and an infant girl who will be laid to rest with her mother. She leaves besides her husband and children, her mother, Mrs. Gunhild Olson of Story City, a sister, Mrs. Oscar Olson, of Clear Lake, Iowa, and two brothers Ole M. Olson of Jewell, and Halver Olson of Hanlentown, Iowa, sho mourn her loss as do a host of friends who have always found h a true friend and a good neighbor.

Funeral services were held at her home Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. A quartette very touchingly sang. Interment was made in the cemetery at St. Paul's Lutheran church. The service was conducted by Rev. Hans Oppedal.
