Bennie Johnson

Bennie Johnson died February 6th, at his home one mile west and a quarter south of Randall at the early age of 34 years and it was a great shock to his friends. He had been ill with tuberculosis for the past two years but was confined to his bed only the last three months and altho everything was done to relieve his suffering he passed away Friday at 7:00 a.m. He was a progressive farmer and a man of square dealings and was a good donator to missions. His mother passed away about twenty years ago, leaving he and his brother. Will, alone in the world at a very early age. He called for Rev. Paulsrud on several occasions and he administered communion to him.

Short funeral services were held at the house at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. at the Randall church. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his untimely death his only child, a daughter, and his brother, Will. His father passed away three years ago and he was laid to rest beside his parents in Mt. Olive cemetery north of Randall. The pall bearers were P. J. Okland, Martin Knutson, John Larson, Hans and Julius Miller and George Templer.
