OBITUARY
Mrs. Hubert Allen

Mrs. Hubert Allen, formerly Margaret E. Boyd, passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Boyd, near Stanhope, after a very brief illness, Friday, October 18.

Mrs. Allen has been staying at the home of her parents since last February as her husband, Hubert E. Allen, has been at Oakdale Sanitarium, near Iowa City, receiving treatment for his health. A week before she suffered a complete nervous breakdown, and although she had been in very good health before her condition became more critical each day, and she finally passed away.

Margaret E. Boyd was born January 16, 1895, and died October 18, 1918, at the age of 22 years, 9 months and 2 days. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday and also at the Story City cemetery, where interment was made.

This is the second death to occur in the E. G. Boyd family in a little over a week, their son, Andrew, having died at Camp Dodge on October 10th. All the members of the family have been sick, but are now recovering.

The sympathy of all is extended to this grief-stricken family, in the loss of their son and daughter.
