OBITUARY

Severt Swenson Bratteland

Severt Swenson Bratteland was born the 25th of February, 1886 in Story county, one mile east of Story City, and died Wednesday night, February 27th, 1918 at his home two miles west and three quarters south of Randall, at the age of thirty-two years.

He farmed for several years in southern Minnesota up till two years ago when his health failed him and he has since been in poor health. Last fall he took a bad cold, which settled on his lungs and he died from tuberculosis.

He leaves to mourn his death, his mother and father, seven brothers and four sisters, whose names are Edward, Pemberton, Minn.; Mrs. P. A. Hendrickson, Marshall, Minn.; Mrs. J. N. Christianson, Hendricks, Minn.; Elmer, Hendricks; Hartwick, Pemberton; Peter, Hendricks; Bennie, Annas, Sela, Jonas and Stella of Randall, Iowa.
