Glenn L. Short, 71, a former Webster City resident, died Saturday, Nov. 7 at Memorial hospital in Colorado Springs, Colo. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City, with burial to be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at Foster Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 until the time of service.

Glenn Logan Short, son of William and Cordia Rector Short, was born Dec. 31, 1915 at Webster City. He was educated in Webster City.

On March 1, 1934, he married Bernice Christenson at Webster City. The couple resided there and he was employed in local foundries. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and later was employed at various foundries in Minnesota and Illinois.

Survivors include three daughters, Bernice (Mrs. Kenmore) Chalfant of Webster City, Joan (Mrs. Franklin) Schnell of Minneapolis, Minn., and Pat (Mr. Larry) Campeau of Williams; three sons, Glen R. Short of Braham, Minn., Lonnie Short of Minneapolis, Minn., and William (Billy) Short of Boulevard, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and four brothers, Gale of Webster City, Robert of Cabool, Mo., Clifford of Hillsdale, Ill., and Elmer (Junior) of Kenosha, Wis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter; two brothers and one sister.

He formerly attended the Nazarene Church at Webster City.
