Mrs. Barbara Pernille Anderson

Mrs. Barbara Pernille Anderson nee Johnson was born at Bremness, Norway, Sept. 30, 1862 and died at her home near Randall Aug. 14, 1926. She was at her death 63 years, 10 months and 14 days old. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Norway. In 1892 she came to America and has lived in this vicinity ever since.

Oct. 20, 1894, she was united in marriage to Hans A. Anderson and to this union five children were born, namely Mrs. Margaret Solbrack of Atwater, Minn., Mrs. Ida Hanson of Jewell, Henry of Jewell, Joseph and Benjamin of Randall.

Mrs. Anderson has been in poor health for the last 15 years. She was a good Christian mother and a faithful member of the Elim Lutheran church of Randall. She trusted in the promise of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We as a church and friends wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to this bereaved family. She is survived by her husband and five children and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock at the house and 2 o'clock in the church at Randall. Rev. G. O. Paulsrud spoke in the norwegian language and Rev. Jordan Paulsrud of Vermilion, S. D., in the English language. Interment was made in the Mount Olive cemetery. The pall bearers were, Lars Alvestad, and S. Bligie of Jewell, M. M. Teigland Jr., A. O. Rasmusson, P. H. Espeland and Lewis Gere.
