Funeral services for Percy Lichtenberger, 84, were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Paul Williamson officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Lichtenberger died Friday at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. He had been in ill health for one year.

Ira Percy Lichtenberger, son of Eli Lee and Urelda Smith Lichtenberger was born Nov. 21, 1889 at Meriden, Iowa. He was reared and educated in the Blairsburg-Woolstock area and later attended college at Cedar Falls.

He was married Aug. 12, 1917 to Vera Davis and the couple made their home in Webster City where he was a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1942.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. C.M. (Vee) Woods of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and Mrs. Brad (LaVonne) Osmundson, six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Floyd of Mesa, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by one son George; his parents and a brother.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church, the Masonic lodge and the Order of Eastern Star.

The organist for today's service was Mrs. Linda Toering, and Richard Jones was vocalist.

Pallbearers were Ervin Bottorff, Gus Dermand, Clare Forrester, Alfred Myers, Harley Shaffer and Howard Vulgamott.
