Kenneth F. Volkmer, 63, Hastings, Neb., died Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the V.A. Medical Center in Grand Island, Neb. A Rosary will be held Friday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Butler-Volland Chapel in Hastings. A Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. at the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings, Father John J. McCabe officiating. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings with military graveside rights.

Kenneth F. Volkmer, son of Ernesst and Emma Reinsch Volkmer was born Feb. 5, 1925 in Martland, Neb. He married Norma Pope on July 29, 1949. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1977. He married Hellen Romshek on Aug. 7, 1981. He served with the Army in WWII, and was a self-employed carpenter.

Mr. Volkmer is survived by his wife Helen, six daughters, three sons, two stepdaughters, two stepsons, two sisters, five brothers, 15 grandchildren and various Hamilton County relatives.

He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, the Eagles, VFW, and Glenvil American Legion.
