Mrs. R.D. Kennedy Passes Away Near Homer - Was Thirty Years of Age
Mrs. R.D. Kennedy, who lived on a farm a half mile from Homer, passed away Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock, following an illness of less than a week's duration with bronchial pneumonia. Her sickness was not considered at all serious until a short time before she died, and she was conscious to the last.
Mae Barr Kennedy went from Mallard to Homer to reside about two years ago. She was thirty years old at the time of her death. A husband and three children - Gladys, age seven, Leila, age five, and the baby, Marian, age fifteen months are left to mourn her death. She was a granddaughter of Mrs. A.J. Barr and also of Mr. and Mrs. D.C. DeFrance, and a niece of Mrs. M.C. Meeks, Mrs. Dan Kimmel, C.J., George and W.J. DeFrance, all of whom reside in or near this city.
The funeral services will be held at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Christian church in this city, Rev. L.H. Sours officiating.
