Tuesday, September 8, 1992Eugene Kepler, 78, Webster City, died Sept. 5, 1992 at the Hamilton County Public Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Torger Johnson officiating. Burial is in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until time of service.
Eugene Oscar Kepler, son of Oscar and Bessie Smith Kepler, was born March 29, 1914 in Webster City where he was educated.
On Sept. 7, 1940 he married Elizabeth Jane Hart at Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. He was a turbine engineer for the city of Webster City for 36 years, retiring in 1979.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Richard of Huxley, Howard of Arvada, Colo. and LeRoy of Dows; daughter, Carla Brownfield of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; brothers, Howard and Robert, both of Webster City; and sister, Doris Willardson of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Webster City Moose Lodge.
