Violet Hisler, 69, Webster City, died May 25, 1993 at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Private services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday until time of services.

Violet Berniece Peterson, daughter of Holger and Annie (Hanson) Peterson, was born May 12, 1924 at Estherville. She moved with her parents to the Blairsburg area. She graduated from Blairsburg High School.

On Sept. 21, 1947 she married Raynard Hisler at Webster City. She was a homemaker and the couple resided in Webster City.

She is survived by her husband; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Bruce Miller of St. Cloud, Minn., Sandy and Jim Hodges of Coon Rapids, Minn., Kristie and Doug Carlson of Madrid, Renee Hisler of Des Moines; sons and daughter-in-law, Raynard Hisler, Jr. and Randy and LuAnn Hisler, all of Webster City; one granddaughter; three step-grandsons; mother, Annie Peterson of Webster City; and sister, Arlene "Penny" Dermand of West Hills, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father and grandson, Patrick Hisler.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
