Kathryn Gilbert, 67, Webster City died Jan. 16, 1993 at her home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vernon Sorensen officiating. Burial will be in Cass Center Cemetery, north of Webster City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home until 8 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Kathryn Amy Griffin, daughter of Bryan and Mary (Miller) Griffin, was born April 12, 1925 at Blairsburg where she graduated from high school in 1942. She attended the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Mason City and was employed at the Buffalo Center Hospital.

On Sept. 17, 1948 she married Glen Gilbert at Buffalo Center. The couple resided in Buffalo Center until 1953 when they moved to Webster City. She was employed at the Hamilton County Public Hospital as a nurse until 1972. Then she was employed at the Farm Journal until her retirement in 1978.

She is survived by her husband, Glen; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Darrell Kleckner of Altoona; son, Bryan Gilbert and Bridget Chambers of Webster City; grandchildren, Shawne and Kristine Kleckner, mother, Mary Griffin of Webster City; brother, Ray Griffin of Webster City, Lee Griffin of Buffalo Center; and sister, Ruth Adams of Webster City. She was preceded in death by her father; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Griffin.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
