Thursday, September 23, 1993Vera "Mrs. Harry" Rasmussen, 79, Webster City, died Sept. 22, 1993 at her home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home with Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, south of Jewell. The body was cremated.
Vera Elaine Davis, daughter of Joseph and Angie (Christianson) Davis, was born March 10, 1914 on a farm northwest of Stanhope. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1932.
On July 28, 1938 she married Harry W. Rasmussen at Nashua. The couple resided in Jewell where they owned and operated Harry and Vera's Cafe for two years. They then moved to Webster City and she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Harry; sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Sandy Rasmussen of Des Moines and Stephen and Cindy Rasmussen of West Des Moines; grandchildren, Keiron, Chontel, John, Mark and David; and great-grandson, Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City and when health permitted was active in church work.
