Mrs. Amos (Johanna) Roe, 56, a longtime resident of Webster City, died early this morning at the Hamilton County hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had been in ill health for six months.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church with the Father Edgar Kurt officiating and with burial in Calvary Catholic cemetery. A scripture service will be held Monday evening at 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home.

Johanna Teresa Faulkner, daughter of William Francis and Margaret Mary Faulkner, was born Jan. 9, 1917 at Webster City. She was reared and educated in this community.

She was united in marriage Aug. 20, 1942 to Amos Roe, and the couple had always made their home in Webster City.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter and one son, Mrs. John (Cecilia) Gilbert of Jacksonville, N.C., and Russell James Roe of Marshalltown; two grandchildren; and one brother, Tom Faulkner of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, who died in infancy and a sister, Mrs. Selmer Roe, who died in January, 1973.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church and the Rosary Society.
