Charles "Chet" Callery former Webster City resident.

Charles E. Callery, 71, died Nov. 3, 1981 at the Boone County Hospital. He was born July 13, 1910 in Duncombe, the son of Edward and Laura (Ely) Callery. He married Betty C. Booth, Feb. 20, 1954 at Cedar Falls.

Mr. Callery was a retired foreman fot the Weitz Construction Company, Des Moines. He was a member of Local 177 Laborers International of Des Moines, Union of North America, and the American Legion, Post 188, Webster City.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of Boone, a brother, Warren of Marshalltown; a sister, Lauretta Callery Evans, Des Moines; five nephews and two nieces.

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m., at the Schroeder Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.

Friends may call at Schroeders on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. until time of the service.
