Lillian Ross, 76 of Webster City, died Friday, July 10 at the Hamilton Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. John J. Walsh, celebrant. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home, with visitation from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday at the church.

Lillian M. Mayer, daughter of Fred and Glee Finney Mayer, was born August 13, 1921 at Joliet, Il. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1940. She also graduated from nursing training at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She worked for Dr. Patterson for a short time.

On May 21, 1946 she married Robert L. Ross. The couple resided in Webster City where she was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Charles Dutcher of Denver, IA.; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kay Ross of Webster City; grandchildren, Eden, Erin and Erica Dutcher, Katie, Molly and Matt Ross.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Winifred Ross in infancy, and a sister, Dorothy Brown.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, the Webster City Country Club and the Moose Lodge.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Meals on Wheels and Hamilton County Hospice and Respite.
