A.C. (Ed) Wurch, 92, Webster City, died Friday, May 15, 1998 at the Crestview Manor Care Center. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Travis Schmidt officiating. Burial is in the Graceland Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Adolph Carl Wurch, son of Emil and Marie (Block) Wurch, was born Aug. 8, 1905 on a farm west of Highview. He attended a Waterloo business school and started farming east of Webster City. On Sept. 17, 1927 he married Cenelia Rieck at LuVerne. The couple farmed at Webster City, Woolstock and Blairsburg. They retired and moved to Webster City in 1968. He was preceded in death by his wife in February of 1982. On Sept. 12, 1982 he married Hester Adams Seaboch and the couple resided in Webster City. For the past four years he resided at Crestview Manor.

He is survived by his wife; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Russell Jensen, Humboldt, Judith and Duane Seil, Farnhamville, and Keith Tatge, Salt Lake City, Utah and Wayne Tatge, Dallas, Texas, who were raised in the Wurch home; step-daughters and their husbands, Fayma and Dick Jones, Las Vegas, Nev., Sheryll and Dick Schroeder [it was spelled Schroder in Hester Adams Seaboch Wurch's obituary], Palm Springs, Calif. and Rosalie and Dean Floden, Ames; 10 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fred and William Wurch, and sisters Martha Waterman, Anna Peters and Freda Wurch.

Mr. Wurch was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he was an elder, a member of the Hamilton County Fair Exposition for over 20 years and the Hamilton County Farm Bureau.
