Mabel Nepereny, 82, Stratford, died at Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 due to congestive heart failure. She had been a resident at the Grandview Health Care Center in Dayton since July of 1991.

Services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford with Rev. Kent Kastler. Interment will be in the Carpenter Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford on Friday from 7-9 p.m. with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., and Saturday at the church from 8:30 until service time.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1921 at Elma, the daughter of Albert and Ella Thompson Fuller. She was a graduate of Barnum High School. She married Louis F. Nepereny on Aug. 4, 1940 at Fort Dodge. Mabel worked at Middleton Produce in Webster City for a number of years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening. Mabel was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford.

Her parents, husband Louis in August of 1992, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Nepereny, Stratford, one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and James E. Dakeman of Chantilly, VA., four grandchildren, Melinda Oester and her husband Tom of Stratford, Patrick Nepereny of Stratford, Cristal Dakeman of Fairfax, Va., James W. Dakeman, Chantilly, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Dakeman and James Dakeman, both of West Virginia and Hunter Nepereny of Stratford.
